Who says Yoga and CrossFit can’t go together? The combination may seem unorthodox, but it turns out the two workouts go together like chia seeds and Greek yogurt (or peanut butter and chocolate!). Behold, the CrossFit-yoga mash-up.
Some of the movements we do in yoga such as sun salutations aren’t considered “functional movements” by CrossFitters, so while this sequence stays within the general rules of CrossFit (the routine includes a warm-up and everything is done at 1-minute intervals), the routine uses yoga movements—and it’s as intense as any CrossFit session.
